With the new year rolling in I tend to take stock of where I am in life. And that goes for my machines I ride as well. I find that my riding needs change as I go through different seasons in life. There are times that a single seat RS1 would have been perfect. Times that a 2 seater to take that special someone or a friend along would have been great. Even times I wished I had a 4 seater to bring more people or the whole family along. But this article isn’t necessarily about getting a new machine, its about setting any machine up to be the best for what you do. Are you enjoying trail riding the most and wish your sound system was better? Then maybe thats what would make your riding experience more enjoyable. Are you craving some racing? You can take some stock parts off and throw some upgrades at it and get into a class with nearly any machine. Are you wanting to do long distance riding and camping expeditions ? There are accessories for that as well! Don’t let yourself fall into the mindset that your current machine is only good for one thing. Remember you can reinvent it and redesign it to make that machine do exactly what you want. A trail rig with some new wheels and tires and suspension set up can be a competitive racer. A race car can be converted to a very capable trail rig with just a few minor modifications as well.
The trick sometimes is knowing what you need and where to spend your hard earned money to make your UTV do what you want it to do. Facebook groups can be a blessing and a cursing with this at times. If you can find a knowledgeable and trustworthy dealer that is involved in the sport to guide you that is your best bet. They can give you the inside track as to preferred brands, best value for dollars, and new technology in the market that you may not even know about. If you have that dealer who you work with try to support them. You may be able to get the part $5 cheaper online but that online space isn’t there to guide you when you need it. If you dont have that place to talk to ask around or give us a shout here at CW Motorsports and we will help you with whatever you need.
